Tunc
Vetúria, Corioláni mater,
Volúmniam uxórem eius
et líberos
secum trahens,
castra Volscórum pétiit.
Quam
ubi fílius adspéxit,
"Expugnásti," inquit,
"et vicísti iram meam,
pátria,
précibus huius admótis;
cuius amóri
te,
quamvis
mérito mihi invísam,
dono."
Continuóque
Románum agrum
hostílibus armis liberávit.
