3.2 Iupiter et Prometheus




Iúpiter,
pacátum adéptus regnum,
curam
ad formándos hómines
cóntulit.
Eum imitátus
Prométheus finxit
státuas quasdam hóminum
ex argílla,
illásque
rapto e curru solis igne
animávit.
Promethéi temeritátem
indígne ferens
Iúpiter,
negótium Vulcáno dedit,
ut eum
in Caúcaso monte religáret:
áddidit vúlturem,
qui
laniáret víscera
in novos cruciátus renascéntia.
